Inc is looking for three types of volunteers to help execute its vision in Atlanta.
Inc has opportunities for Action Essay Scholarship Mentors as well as long-term volunteers – who will commit to volunteer at least 5 hours per month to the work of the organization in an ongoing capacity – and short-term volunteers – who would be presented with opportunities on a case-by-case basis.
Action Essay Scholarship Mentors
These volunteers will have the opportunity to be matched up with an Inc scholarship applicant to help them develop and execute a plan to answer the question they've decided to pursue.
Additionally, Inc is looking for long- and short-term volunteers in the following areas to help do the work of the organization.
Program Implementation
These volunteers will help the Program Implementation team as it works to:
• Implement and execute all pieces of the Family Reading Initiative;
• Coordinate all aspects of the Family Forum meetings;
• Coordinate all aspects of the Action Essay Scholarship Program;
• Develop program-related content for Incwell;
• Find and select participant families;
• Maintain and develop Inc's Benchmark Renewal Program;
• Quantify the impact of Inc's Family Reading Initiative on its participants.
Fund Development
These volunteers will help the Fund Development team as it works to:
• Raise money for Inc through traditional and nontraditional means;
• Maintain relationships with donors;
• Plan and execute Fundraising and Outreach events.
Brand Development
These volunteers will help the Brand Development team as it works to:
• Develop the materials needed to deliver Inc's message
• Maintain the organization's Web site as well as any printed materials
• Plan and produce Incwell each quarter
• Develop and execute media outreach
• Build Inc's brand through public outreach opportunities.
